Siemens renews cooperation agreement with Department of Computer Science, Tsinghua University

On September 21, Dr. Norbert Gaus, President of the R&D Department of Siemens Academia Sinica, and his delegation visited Tsinghua University. They had a cordial meeting with Professor Zeng Rong, Vice President of Tsinghua University, in the Gongzi Hall of Tsinghua University, and discussed the Tsinghua University (Department of Computer Science)-Siemens (China) The contract renewal of the Joint Research Center for Industrial Intelligence and Internet of Things (JCIIOT) of the Co., Ltd. was held at an unveiling ceremony. At the unveiling ceremony, Zeng Rong expressed congratulations on the establishment of the research center on behalf of Tsinghua University and expressed his gratitude to Siemens for its long-term support to the development of Tsinghua University. He fully affirmed the remarkable results achieved by the research center in the first phase of work and was full of expectations for the second phase of cooperation with the research center. After the unveiling ceremony, the center held a working meeting, where four project leaders from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University reported on the three-year research content and project plan.

Siemens has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with Tsinghua University, and the areas of cooperation between the two parties have continued to expand. Based on the successful model and results of the first phase of JCIIOT, the two parties will deepen research and development cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, simulation, automation, software systems and edge computing in the second phase, and promote talent cultivation and the construction of an innovation ecosystem. We look forward to working with Tsinghua University to shape the Internet innovation ecosystem.
